Bodhisattva's Curtain, 2003
Scroll-cut wood and acrylic
36 x 26 in (91.44 x 66.04 cm)
"I use a scroll saw to cut patterns in wood that I paint and layer to explore various design interactions for wall hung constructions and sculptures. Individual elements are constructed in successive layers or placed side by side where the layers create textures of light and shadow that act as frames and screens that can enhance and reveal while also filter and obscure what is behind."
