ArtXchange Gallery presents What Does Compassion Look Like?™ a multidisciplinary exhibition exploring the power of compassion through art. This collaborative exhibition features 35 artists from around the world with the mission of engaging the hearts and minds of our community by highlighting and celebrating the power of compassion through art and creative dialogues. The show features artists from Seattle to New York to Israel, and exhibits a wide variety of media including painting, photography, film/video, sculpture, installation, internet-art, participatory experiences and works on paper.
The What Does Compassion Look Like?™ initiative supports Seeds of Compassion, a non-profit organization that focuses on nurturing compassion in children and all those who touch their lives. The exhibition at ArtXchange reflects the mission of Seeds of Compassion and is a fundraiser to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama's visit to Seattle in April 2008. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of art will be donated to Seeds of Compassion.
