"These collages aren't trying to hide or conceal one image within the other, they are trying to show both images at the same time. The two images have respect for one another which can be seen through the way in which they play off the various shapes and colors in each image. This respect of one image for the other is a metaphor for the respect and compassion that people of varying backgrounds should have for one another."
