"I believe that the surface of life is ever changing but beneath the surface are found certain fundamental truths that have always applied to life and will always apply to life. And it is the artist’s responsibility to dive deep down to find these truths and bring them up, and to reinterpret them in the light of the modern world. For instance, I think that one such fundamental truth is that the universe is one organic whole, and that all life is interconnected."
